Great Britain's Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper both advanced to the third round of the Indian Wells Masters with straight-set wins in Saturday's second-round matches.

Raducanu got the job done 7-6[3] 6-2 against Polish 20th seed Magda Linette, while Draper came out on top against Dan Evans 6-4 6-2 in a battle of the Brits.

Admittedly struggling with illness ahead of her first-round win over Danka Kovinic, Raducanu was broken first in her match with Linette, falling 3-1 down before breaking back in the seventh game.

A timely break to love in the 11th game gave Raducanu the chance to serve out the set, but Linette returned the favour with a break to love of her own in the 12th game to force a tie-breaker, where the Pole never recovered after ceding the mini-break.

After getting a sticky first set out of the way, the second was a far more comfortable affair for the former US Open champion, who would be the one to break for a 3-1 lead in game four this time around.

Linette brought up two break-back points in the fifth game, but Raducanu saved both of them and broke one final time in the eighth game to continue her positive start to the Masters 1000 event.

Either Beatriz Haddad Maia or Katerina Siniakova will await Raducanu in round three, while Draper saw off compatriot and a man 11 years his senior in Evans in a contest lasting exactly two hours.

Early wobbles plagued both men, who traded breaks in the opening two games of the match before Draper settled into a rhythm and broke again in the third, with Evans's unforced errors proving costly.

It was not for the want of trying for Evans, as the 32-year-old brought up another five break points as the first set progressed, but he failed to take any of them as Draper dug deep to see out the opener.

Neither Draper nor Evans appeared to have shaken off the cobwebs in a second set littered with double faults, but the former crucially broke in the fifth game and never looked back.

Two double faults from Evans in the seventh game handed Draper the double break on a silver platter, and the world number 56 came through another slightly nervy hold to prevail.

A third-round battle with Andy Murray now awaits Draper, while Cameron Norrie will face off against Taro Daniel on Sunday.
