Jelena Jankovic has eased through to the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells with a straight-sets victory over Magdalena Rybarikova.
The world number eight got the better of her 25-year-old opponent 6-3 6-2 in the third round in one hour and 19 minutes on Sunday.
Jankovic was in control of the contest right from the start and surged to a 3-0 lead in the first set inside 30 minutes.
Rybarikov tried to stage a comeback by winning the following two games, but the 29-year-old Serbian soon regained her momentum and clinched it 6-3.
Slovakian Rybarikov claimed the first game of the second set, but once Jankovic had made it 1-1, she did not look back and bagged it 6-2.
