Britain's Johanna Konta eased her way into the second round of the Italian Open by beating Johanna Larsson in straight sets in Rome on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old, who was forced to retire from the Madrid Open at the start of the month with respiratory problems, sealed a 6-1 6-2 triumph in just over an hour.
Konta raced to a 4-0 lead with a double break, while Larsson could only get one game on the board in first set, which was completed in 22 minutes.
The Brit lost serve once in the second set, but she broke three times to earn herself a comfortable win on the clay court.
Konta will take on Roberta Vinci in the next round.
