Viktor Troicki has defeated Feliciano Lopez 6-7(2) 6-4 6-3 in the second round of the Italian Open this evening.
A tie-break was required in the opening set to separate the pair, after Troicki failed to capitalise on his opponent's loss of serve in the ninth game.
Lopez came out on top 7-2 to take an early foothold, but the world number 34 managed to dig deep to claim the second set, before breaking Troicki early on in the decider to claim a comeback victory in Rome.
Kei Nishikori now awaits in the next round.
