Good morning and welcome to Sports Mole's live text coverage of the fourth day of Olympic tennis action at the All England Club.
There's a bunch of global stars in action today with the likes of Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova all on court.
From a British perspective, Murray is joined in the second round by the young women's duo of Heather Watson and Laura Robson, who both have tough last-32 matches.
Follow ALL the key action with us below.
20.56The Bryans are likely to face defending gold medallists Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland. What a match that would be. The Swiss duo have to defeat their Israeli counterparts, though, in a match that was scheduled for this evening but has been postponed and moved to tomorrow. 20.54GAME, SET AND MATCH! That'll do nicely for the number one seeds. They blitz the second breaker to-one to claim a 7-6[8] 7-6[1] triumph over the Russians. 20.48And we're into a tie-break on 19, just like the first set, which the Bryans took 8-6. 20.40That just leaves us with the doubles match involving the Bryan brothers. They're 4-5 behind in the second set against the Russians and may have to be stopped soon because of bad light. 20.37Next up for the Russian is Germany's Julia Goerges. 20.34Watson will have thought that she had a chance of an upset today but, in all honesty, Kirilenko stepped up and showed her class. The Russian 14th seed looked really good and will think she has a good chance of going far in an open bottom half of the draw. 20.30Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has been speaking about his marathon match with Milos Raonic earlier."It's good for tennis and it's good for sports," Tsonga said of partaking in the longest match in Olympic tennis history.
"This is the only way for me to write my name in history at the moment."
Kirilenko 6-3 5-2* WatsonKirilenko just isn't letting up though. The Russian dinks a drop shot just over the net that Watson can only nudge wide. One game from victory now. Kirilenko 6-3 *4-2 WatsonWatson won't give up here as Kirilenko pulls a backhand wide. The crowd are doing all they can to spur on the 20-year-old, can she worm her way back into it? 20.22GAME, SET AND MATCH! Azarenka breaks the Spaniard's serve yet again to record a 6-1 6-2 triumph on No. 2. Next up for the Belarusian in the last 16 is the 16th seed Nadia Petrova of Russia. Kirilenko 6-3 4-1* WatsonWatson again earns 30-30 but she plants a forehand into the net and lets out a high-pitched yelp of anguish before Kirilenko holds serve to move within two games of victory. 20.18BREAK! Azarenka has broken the second-set resistance of Martinez Sanchez on No. 2 and now leads 5-2. 20.18SET! The Bryan brothers were taken to a tie-break by Youzhny and Davydenko but their class prevailed in the breaker and they move a set ahead. Kirilenko 6-3 *3-1 WatsonBlimey that was a massive roar for just a service hold! Watson stays in touch in the second set, she'll now look to break back. Kirilenko 6-3 *2-0 WatsonBREAK! Bad news for the British contingent on No. 1 as Kirilenko breaks at the first opportunity in the second set. Come on now, Heather. 20.07GAME, SET AND MATCH! The Williams sisters are into the last eight of the doubles. They come through 6-2 7-5 against the Germans Kerber and Lisicki to set up a quarter-final meeting with Italian second seeds Errani and Vinci. 20.04Azarenka's not having it all her own way in the second set, as in the first, against Martinez Sanchez. They're on serve at 2-2 on No. 2. Kirilenko 6-3 1-0 WatsonKirilenko is taken to 30-30 by Watson but she continues to upset the crowd by holding to move ahead in the second. 20.01BREAK! The Williams sisters have what looks to be a crucial break over Kerber and Lisicki. They'll now serve for the match at 6-5 in the second. 20.00GAME, SET AND MATCH! Tipsarevic/Zimonjic 6-4 6-7 11-9 Nestor/Pospisil 19.58GAME, SET AND MATCH! David Ferrer is in the third round. The Spaniard completes a 6-2 6-2 success on Centre over Kavcic to set up a meeting with 15th seed Kei Nishikori of Japan. 19.58GAME, SET AND MATCH! David Ferrer is in the third round. The Spaniard completes a 6-2 6-2 success on Centre over Kavcic to set up a meeting with 15th seed Kei Nishikori of Japan. Kirilenko 6-3 *0-0 WatsonSET! Watson saves two of the three set points but can't stop the third and 14th seed Kirilenko takes the first. 19.52GAME, SET AND MATCH! Lopez 6-4 6-4 Monaco The eighth seed is out as Lopez seals the win in an hour and 12 minutes. The Spaniard will next face marathon man Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. 19.50Could be in vain for Watson as she presents Kirilenko with three set points. 19.45Watson now has three points to get one of the breaks back... 19.43BREAK! Men's fourth seed Ferrer looks on course for victory as he moves 4-1 ahead in the second against Kavcic on Centre. Kirilenko *5-2 WatsonDOUBLE BREAK! Kirilenko has taken this one by the scruff of the neck and now looks nailed-on for the first set. The Russian loops a cross-court backhand onto the edge of the sideline to move 5-2 ahead. 19.38SET! Azarenka wraps up the first set by taking a triple break at 6-1. The number one seed looking good on No. 2. Kirilenko 4-2* WatsonA high Watson backhand drifts wide at 40-30 to see Kirilenko take a two-game lead on No. 1. 19.35The men's doubles number one seeds - the famous Bryan brothers of America - are up and running on Court 19. Bob and Mike face the Russian duo of Davydenko and Youzhny. Kirilenko *3-2 WatsonToo good from Kirilenko as she batters Watson before putting away a forehand volley on her fourth break point. 19.32BREAK BACK! Kerber and Lisicki reel off two in a row to move 3-2 ahead against the Williams sisters in the second set. 19.30Watson has faced three break points in this game and saved all of them, somehow. Wonderful resolve. 19.27GAME, SET AND MATCH! Women's number one seeds in the doubles, Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond, are through to the third round with a 6-4 7-6[3] win over the Polish Radwanska sisters Ursula and Agnieszka. 19.26BREAKS! Azarenka is on fine form over on No. 2 and has opened out a 4-0 lead while on 12 the Williams sisters look good for victory at a set and a break up against Kerber and Lisicki. 19.22Kirilenko had moved 40-0 ahead but Watson produces some great tennis to level it at deuce. 19.19SET! Great comeback from Lopez on 18 as he takes the first set 6-4 against Monaco. Kirilenko *1-2 WatsonNice from Heather as she holds to-15. The 20-year-old is looking extremely confident here. Kirilenko 1-1* WatsonWatson begins the game with a lovely forehand pass but Kirilenko takes the next four points to level. The Russian is certainly a beauty but she's got a dreadful scream a la Sharapova, which I HATE. 19.13BREAK! Azarenka looking bullish on No. 2 as she opens up an early 2-0 advantage against Martinez Sanchez. 19.12SET! The Williams sisters are looking good as they take the opening set 6-2 against the Germans on Court 12. 19.10SET! Ferrer looks in a hurry on Centre as he races to the opening set 6-2. 19.09Amid all the excitement I forgot to tell you that the Williams sisters are in doubles action against Kerber and Lisicki of Germany. The Americans are a double break up over there. 19.07The crowd are really buzzing on No.1 after the Tsonga epic and there's more to cheer as Watson begins confidently. 19.05Watson receives a massive cheer from the crowd as her name is read out by the umpire. This is a big test for the Guernsey girl and she'll be looking to go better than her compatriot Robson. 19.00Next up on No. 1 then is British youngster Heather Watson. She faces 14th seed Maria Kirilenko in a second-round encounter and that's where we'll be switching our focus. 18.59There's been a wee switcharound at the All England Club because of Tsonga and Raonic's doggedness. Ferrer and Kavcic are actually on Centre Court, which means that Azarenka and Martinez Sanchez, who were third up on No. 1, are now warming up on No. 2 Court. 18.56Our handy, bite-sized report of Tsonga's record-breaking - it was the longest tennis match in Olympic history - win can be found here. 18.54BREAK! Speaking of Juan Monaco, he's just moved ahead an early break against Lopez over on 18 at 3-1. 18.52You'd have to label Tsonga as one of the greatest showmen of all time on the tennis court. He always seems to deliver amazing scenes on court and, more often than not, is on the winning end. 18.51The fifth seed will next play the winner of the Monaco-Lopez match on 18 at the moment. 18.50The pair slump into each other's arms at the net in a moment of great sportsmanship before the Frenchman showed us that he still has some energy by doing his usual spinning, jumping victory dance. 18.49After exchanging ground strokes Tsonga slipped to floor, Raonic chipped in but Tsonga managed to flop up a lob just inside the baseline. Raonic sprinted back, spun and got the ball back into play but Tsonga was ready and waiting to drop a forehand volley over that the Canadian couldn't quite reach. 18.49I know it's been a phenomenal match but it didn't have to end on such a crazy point as well! 18.47The first is saved as Tsonga nets a return. 18.47Out of nowhere we have three match points for Tsonga!! 18.46Great point! Raonic is so willing to come forward and Tsonga's pass bounces up off the tape. Raonic waits to hit his backhand before sending the next volley out. 18.44Elsewhere at SW19, two further men's singles matches have just started. On No. 2 Court fourth seed David Ferrer is up against Blaz Kavcic, while over on 18 there's a Hispanic battle between Spain's Feliciano Lopez and Juan Monaco of Argentina. Tsonga 6-3 3-6 24-23* RaonicSurely these boys'll get back ache soon with all the arcing their doing on serve! Tsonga holds to-15 to reach 24 games for the set. Tsonga 6-3 3-6 *23-23 RaonicYet another ace for the Canadian and we're back level. 46 games in this final set and the clock is at 2:53, just for the set! 3:51 overall. 18.39Just double-checked and Tsonga has in fact had two chances to end this madness. Neither taken and Raonic has begun this game confidently with a classy forehand volley. Tsonga 6-3 3-6 23-22* RaonicBoth men hold to-love and Tsonga's back ahead on No. 1! I think I'm right in saying that the Frenchman is the only man to have had a match point. 18.36GAME, SET AND MATCH! Benneteau/Gasquet 6-3 6-4 Bhupatti/Bopanna 18.34GAME, SET AND MATCH! What a victory that is for Hewitt. He saves a break-back point against Cilic before serving it out to book his place in round three, where he'll face the second seed Novak Djokovic. 18.32Speaking of the Frenchman, he's in trouble at deuce on serve at 21-21. 18.31If you've been with us for a while hit refresh and you'll see a lovely picture of Jo-Wilfried doing what he does best - flat out on the grass! 18.30Back to Robson and that was a real gritty performance but ultimately she was outdone by her opponent of far-greater experience. She's only 18 though and can look forward to some mixed-doubles fun with a certain Andy Murray. 18.28BREAK! Hewitt will now serve for the match at 6-5 in the second after cracking Croat Cilic's serve. (Some great alliteration back there.) 18.27"Game Raonic" as the Canadian plants a forehand in the far corner that Tsonga can only net. 21-21 in the decider. 18.26Raonic booms down a body serve, Tsonga challenges but it's way inside the service line and we're back to deuce. 18.25Tsonga has a match point! The Frenchman does brilliantly to earn it too. Massive moment. 18.23GAME, SET AND MATCH! Tatishvili 3-6 7-6[5] 2-6 PETROVA The Russian next faces Azarenka or Martinez Sanchez. 18.22GAME, SET AND MATCH! You've got to see her! Maria wraps it up as Robson's cross-court forehand can't quite nudge over the tape. 18.18Raonic-Tsonga now 20 games apiece. 18.17BREAK! Oh Laura! She double-faults on game point to present Sharapova with the chance to serve it out. 18.16And it's break point Sharapova as the Brit finds the net. 18.15Robson in a spot of bother at 30-30... 18.13"Vingt dix-neuf," Tsonga will be thinking in his mind as he looks up at the scoreboard. (That's 20-19 as the Frenchman again holds.) 18.11GAME, SET AND MATCH! Lepcheko 5-7 3-6 Goerges German to play either Heather Watson (GBR) or Maria Kirilenko (RUS) 18.10BREAK BACK! That's the way to do it, Laura! The young Brit is offered another chance to get back into this and this time she takes it. Sharapova's off for a quick wee, or something, as she jogs off court. 18.07I've just read that this third set at two hours, 20 minutes is the longest in Olympic history! 18.06Two further holds in our feature matches as Robson stays in touch at 4-2 and Tsonga yet again moves clear 19-18. 18.03Equally strong resolve is being shown by Raonic over on No. 1, he comes through after facing 15-30 and that game's at 18-18! 18.02Robson can't take her chance as Sharapova holds on to take a 4-1 lead. The Russian is now two games from knocking out the British hope. 18.01Tsonga is two points from victory... 18.01Sharapova's saved them and we're at deuce. 17.57Two break-back points for Robson... 17.56Tsonga and Raonic still going by the way at 17-17! 17.54Robson gets on the board for the first time in the second as she holds to stay in touch with Maria. 3-1 to the Russian. 17.50We're just getting treated to some slo-mo shots of the match so far and one is a close-up of Sharapova's sweaty cleavage. Enough of that, tah. 17.49Sharapova backs up that break by holding serve and is now three ahead in the second set. 17.48Raonic has just held, AGAIN, on No. 1 and it's 16-16 in the final set. E p i c. 17.47Merci beaucoup Jack. Right, come on Laura, let's get this back on serve. 17.45BREAK! Things just got a lot more difficult for Robson as Sharapova fires back a winner to break and take a 2-0 lead. On that depressing note I'm going to hand you over to Pascal Lemesre for the rest fo the evening. I hope you enjoy his wonderful insight into this game that we call tennis. 17.42Robson saves three break points to bring this service game to deuce. 17.38Sharapova looking sharp now as she holds to open this second set. 17.36Desperately unlucky for Robson to lose the tie-break as she hits at thin air on Sharapova's serve to concede 7-5. She's going to need the full support of the home crowd now if she's to come back from this. 17.34SET! Sharapova 7-6[5] Robson 17.33The Russian keeps her nerve and hits a wonderful forehand winner to draw herself level. 17.32Sharapova fires long on Robson's serve and the Brit leads 5-4. Sharapova to serve. 17.31Sharapova's turned it all around as she takes a 4-3 lead. 17.30SET! Lepchenko 3-6 Goerges 17.28And now it's 3-1 thanks to Sharapova's wayward forehand. The crowd pump up the volume. 17.28The mini-break comes back Robson's way as she goes 2-1 in front. 17.27Following a challenge, Sharapova also double faults and it's 1-1. 17.26It's 1-0 to Sharapova as Robson double faults. 17.25Sharapova manages to hold so we'll have a tie-break. Nervy times on Centre Court. 17.21Robson mixing it up nicely on court now and holds to go 6-5 in front. Sharapova finding it hard to get to grips with the 18-year-old at the moment. 17.17The Russian has little trouble holding and we're at 5-5. 17.14Sharapova serving to stay in the first set. 17.14Wow. Robson holds to love thanks to a powerful ace right down the line that has Sharapova sprawling but getting nowhere near the ball. A totally different feel to this match now both on the court and in the stands. 17.11BREAK! Oh my. Sharapova's serve continues to haunt her as she double faults to hand Robson the break. The Brit will serve at 4-4. 17.06The Centre Court crowd are still well behind Robson as she holds to stay on Sharapova's case. The Russian is certainly not having it all her own way out there. 17.05SET! Davydenko 6-4 4-6 Nishikori 17.02Sharapova's serve not quite holding up here but Robson fires long to help the Russian consolidate her break. She leads 4-2. 17.00Australian Lleyton Hewitt's match with Croatian 16th seed Marin Cilic is now underway while American Varvara Lepchenko has just started against Germany's Julia Goerges. 16.55Ooh, but a double fault gives Sharapova the advantage. Robson is indicating to the umpire that something was swirling overhead, but the official can't do anything about it. 16.54And an ace saves the other. Fearless stuff from Robson. 16.54The Russian hits one wide and that's the first one saved. 16.53Oh dear. Sharapova now has two break points as Robson double faults. 16.51The Russian recovers well with an ace before an outstretched Robson hits her forehand into the net to give Sharapova the hold. 16.50But Sharapova saves it with a solid second serve. It's deuce. 16.49Robson brings up a break point... 16.45A couple of dodgy shots from Robson in that game but she recovers with an ace to hold and take a 2-1 lead. A good start for the Brit. 16.41Robson showing some good fight on the Sharapova serve but the Russian holds to get herself on the scoreboard. 16.38GAME, SET AND MATCH! Lisicki 4-6 6-3 7-5 Shvedova 16.38SET! Tatishvili 3-6 Petrova 16.37The 18-year-old Brit gets off to a great start with a hold. The crowd firmly behind their girl. 16.33Robson to serve first... 16.28These two have only met once before, here at Wimbledon in fact, with the Russian coming out a winner in two sets in 2011. Robson gave a good account of herself that day though, taking the second set to a tie-break. 16.26Here they come then. Sharapova is greeted with shall we say muted applause while Robson gets a huge reception from the Centre Court crowd. 16.23Okay, now they're playing 'Gold' by Spandau Ballet. That's more like it. 16.22Anyway, we're sticking right here on Centre Court as Russian third seed Maria Sharapova takes on Britain's own Laura Robson. 16.20Lisicki's match with Shvedova has also resumed. With one set each, Lisicki is currently serving at 3-4. 16.18Stunning from Djokovic. Roddick saves match point to take it to deuce, but the Serb hits two aces to secure his place in round three where he will meet Marin Cilic or Lleyton Hewitt. 16.17GAME, SET AND MATCH! Djokovic 6-2 6-1 Roddick 16.16Djokovic brings up a match point with a ridiculous volley at the net. 16.13BREAK! And there's the killer blow. Roddick hits a fizzing serve but Djokovic rifles back a return and will now serve for the match. 16.12Nikolay Davydenko and Kei Nishikori are also back underway. It's with serve at 4-4 in the first set in that one. 16.11Anna Tatishvili of Georgia and Nadia Petrova of Russia have just started their second-round match. 16.09The Serb moves closer to the third round with a hold of serve. He's almost going through the motions now and making Roddick run around like a ferret. 16.06Roddick is just about hanging in there as he holds to make it 1-3. Djokovic definitely looking to finish this one sooner rather than later though. 16.05Play has started again on Court 1: Tsonga 6-3 3-6 *2-2 Raonic 16.03Djokovic holds again and is in full flow now to go 3-0 ahead. 16.01We're expecting play to resume on the outside courts in around 20 minutes. 16.00"Djokovic might charge for this lesson," says Tim Henman on BBC Sport. 15.59BREAK! Bad news for Roddick now as Djokovic breaks with some excellent returning. He now leads 2-0. 15.58Apologies there, we had something of a technical hitch here at Sports Mole HQ. As you can see from the post below Djokovic ran out a 6-2 winner in that first set. Despite Roddick fighting in his inimitable way, the Serb was just too much. He also held serve in the opening game of the second and it's 30-30 on the Roddick serve. 15.56SET! Djokovic 6-2 Roddick 15.44BREAK! Brilliant from Djokovic as he bides his time from the baseline before Roddick makes the error and fires wide. The Serb was dogged in that rally and now leads 4-2. 15.44BREAK! Brilliant from Djokovic as he bides his time from the baseline before Roddick makes the error and fires wide. The Serb was dogged in that rally and now leads 4-2. 15.41It sounds as if the covers are coming off the coutside courts at Wimbledon which means that play should be getting underway soon. We'll let you know when the players are back out. 15.41It sounds as if the covers are coming off the coutside courts at Wimbledon which means that play should be getting underway soon. We'll let you know when the players are back out. 15.40The American is scrapping away as usual but Djokovic holds again with an ace. It's now 3-2 to the second seed. 15.39Roddick's trusty serve looks as strong as ever as he holds again to level this one up at 2-2. 15.36Roddick's trusty serve looks as strong as ever as he holds again to level this one up at 2-2. 15.25Boom, have some of that. Djokovic gets off to a good start by holding serve thanks to a stinging ace. 15.23Here we go then, it'll be Djokovic serving to get us underway... 15.20Some recent history: Djokovic got here after beating Italy's Fabio Fognini in three sets, while Roddick's brief route was a more simple two-set affair against against Martin Klizan of Slovakia. 15.17Djokovic won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Games, but Roddick didn't compete for the USA. 15.15Interestingly, Roddick leads 5-3 over Djokovic in their head-to-head record but the last time they faced each other was in the 2010 ATP Finals. A lot has gone on since then, especially in the career of the Serbian second seed, and one has to consider Djokovic the favourite. 15.14Okay, here we go. Andy Roddick is out first to a rapturous reception and he is swiftly followed by Novak Djokovic who gets an equally warm welcome from the Centre Court crowd. 15.13They're playing Sugababes over the speakers inside Centre Court. Who chooses this music? Have they never heard of David Bowie? 15.12Anyway, it's a quick turnaround here at the All England Club as Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick should be emerging from the locker room in the next few minutes. 15.11For the record that extended Murray's record over Nieminen to: won six, lost zero. 15.08Let's not forget that Baghdatis booked his place in the third round with an impressive straight-sets win over French 16th seed Richard Gasquet, so the flamboyant Cypriot will be full of confidence. Not that he's ever short of it. 15.06Up next for Murray is a match with Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis. The pair met at Wimbledon last month with the Brit coming out on top in four sets as the clock edged past 11pm. 15.04That's about as routine as it gets for Murray as he dispatches of Finland's Jarrko Nieminen with some ease. 15.03GAME, SET AND MATCH! Murray 6-2 6-4 Nieminen 15.02Nieminen is applauded by the Centre Court crowd as he falls into some steward while trying to rescue a point. He can't and it's 15-15. 14.59Murray has a match point but he can't take it as Nieminen does well to come back and hold. The third seed will serve for the match. 14.55It's all to simple for Murray. He holds to love and is just one game away from the third round. 14.53To update, it's still raining at Wimbledon so there is currently no play on the other courts. We'll let you know when it starts up again. 15.43And it's Nieminen who holds as Murray loops a lob a few inches too long. 14.52But he can't take either of them. We're at deuce. 14.51Wonderful from Murray. A sweeping forehand brings up two break points... 14.50That's poor from Nieminen. He moves in court to put away what is a simple volley but instead slams the ball into the net to give Murray the hold and a 4-2 lead in this second set. 14.45Some brutal shots played in that game and Nieminen just about comes out on top with the hold to stay on Murray's tail. 14.43Murray is breezing through this one now as he holds to love to take a 3-1 lead. 14.41Good news for Murray is that the last time the Olympic tennis was held at the All England Club in 1908 it was a British man who took gold in the singles - Josiah Ritchie. 14.40Nieminen is serving very poorly, particularly on his second serve, but he holds to bring it back to 1-2. Still difficult to see past Murray though. 14.38Murray consolidates the break again as Nieminen whacks a wild backhand wide. It's 2-0 to the Brit in this second set. 14.35BREAK! It's a similar story to the first as Murray hits a superb forehand to take an instant break in this second set. Nieminen has it all to do now. 14.30It's a great opening set from Murray as he sweeps Nieminen aside fairly easily in just 27 minutes. It's hard to see a way past the Brit now. 14.28SET! Murray 6-2 Nieminen 14.25BREAKING NEWS: Andy Murray will play mixed doubles with Laura Robson at the Olympics after Britain were handed a wildcard by the ITF. 14.24Murray had a sniff of a break there but Nieminen does well to hold. The third seed will serve for the opening set. 14.22Niemenin shows more fight in that game to go 15-40 but he can't take his break points. Instead Murray fights back to hold and is now one game away from clinching this first set in lightning-quick time. 14.18BREAK! Murray comes to the net and volleys home the second break point to take a commanding 4-1 lead. Nieminen is doing nothing to trouble the Brit at the moment. 14.15A lenghty rally is ended when Murray puts his forehand into the net. Still has a break point though... 14.15A lenghty rally is ended when Murray puts his forehand into the net. Still has a break point though... 14.14An error from Nieminen brings up two break points for Murray. 14.12Murray edges further in front in this first set with a hold to love. 14.10The home crowd creating some excellent noise under the Centre Court roof. The place is filling up too which is good to see. 14.09Murray looked to be a bit bamboozled by Nieminen's slower serves there as the Finn holds for the first time. Murray leads 2-1. 14.07Confident stuff from Murray as he consolidates the break with a hold that ends on an ace. 14.06Just a reminder that rain has descended on the All-England Club so all other matches are suspended for now. When they get up and running again you'll be the first to know. 14.04BREAK! And the Brit takes the first one as Nieminen slams a forehand wide. A dream start for Murray. 14.02Oh, your just too kind Pascal. And wrong. Right, Murray has two break points already... 13.59Time for my lunch so Jack Prescott will be taking over from me. He's more than capable and loads better than me at this so be prepared to be blown away. All yours, Jack... 13.54My namesake Pascal Maria is officiating today's match and he's a veteran of the Tour. We're in safe hands. 13.53And here's Murray, welcomed with rapturous applause. The Scot is today sporting a navy Team GB kit while Finnish opponent Nieminen is in an aqua blue and white mish-mash. 13.47Here come the ball boys and girls, meaning the players will be with us in no time. 13.46Murray reached the second round with an impressive win over Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka, while Nieminen is here because of a straight-sets win over Somdev Devvarman of India. 13.44The pair have met twice in the last three years, both times in grand slams and Murray has been triumphant both times at Roland Garros this year and here at Wimbledon two years ago. 13.43So we're still waiting for Murray and Nieminen to be given the go-ahead to step out on Centre. Should be an even better atmosphere now with the roof closed! 13.36Another young Brit, Heather Watson, is also in second-round action against 14th seed from Russia Maria Kirilenko. The 20-year-old Guernsey girl is expecting a tough match in the second game on No. 1 (after Tsonga-Raonic finishes). 13.34Great Britain's young star Laura Robson says she has "nothing to lose" against number three seed Maria Sharapova, who she faces in the fourth and final match on Centre. 13.33Women's number one seed Victoria Azarenka, who turns 23 today (Happy Birthday, Vicky!), says she feels more nervous representing her country. 13.29The roof is making its slow journey across the top of Centre Court so this means Murray will be playing in indoor conditions. 13.25Here's how the four singles matches on-court currently stand: Tsonga 6-3 3-6 2-1* Raonic, Davydenko (30-40)*4-4 Nishikori, Lisicki 4-6 6-3 *2-3 Shvedova & Tatishvili (40-40)*0-1 Petrova 13.23UH OH! It's spitting rain at Wimbledon and the covers are out. 13.20Venus's quickfire win means that we're soon to see British hope Andy Murray. That's where we'll be switching our main focus very soon but there'll still be regular updates from No. 1 and Tsonga-Raonic as well as all the other key games at SW19. Tsonga 6-3 3-6 2-1* RaonicPerhaps the rally of the match on No. 1 sees Tsonga put a volley apparently on the line. Slow-mo replays suggest that if Raonic had challenged he may have got that one changed. It's gone though and Tsonga is back ahead in the third. 13.17GAME, SET AND MATCH! Venus holds to-love in the ninth game of the second on Centre to seal a 6-1 6-3 win over Wozniak in an hour and four minutes. Next up for the five-time Wimbledon champion is German seventh seed Angelique Kerber. 13.15Meanwhile, over on 18, 16th seed in the women's singles, Nadia Petrova has just begun her second-round match with Anna Tatishvili of Georgia. We'll keep you posted. Tsonga 6-3 3-6 1-0* RaonicTsonga gets off to the best start by holding serve in the opening game of the third as Raonic dumps a forehand into the net. Tsonga 6-3 3-6 *0-0 RaonicSET! Raonic has been so, so good on serve in this set and sends down his fourth ace of the set to wrap up a love-hold and take us into a decider. 13.06BREAK! Davydenko has broken back against Nishikori on 14 and is now 3-2 ahead. Tsonga 6-3 3-5* RaonicTsonga seems to want to put on a show and is coming to the net at will! Raonic makes one pass stick but Tsonga is dominant in the other points and it's up to Raonic to serve the set out. 13.03BREAK! Wozniak is refusing to give in on Centre and she gets one of the two second-set breaks back against Williams. She's now serving at 1-4. Tsonga 6-3 *2-5 RaonicTsonga can do little to stop Raonic at the moment. The Canadian holds to-15 as Tsonga blasts a forehand long and the youngster is now within a game of levelling the match. 13.01SET! Lisicki can't take her first set point but she makes it count on the second and we're into a decider on No. 2 (go Sabine!) 13.00DOUBLE BREAK! Wozniak of Canada can do nothing to stop Venus as she powers 4-0 ahead in the second. Tsonga 6-3 2-4* RaonicTsonga stays in touch just about and it's now down to Raonic to not buckle under the pressure. 12.57BREAK! Lisicki has taken a grip on the second against Shvedova and is now serving at 5-3 after winning through a marathon eighth game on No. 2. 12.56GAME, SET AND MATCH! Baghdatis again breaks Gasquet at a vital time before going on to serve out the second set and match 6-4. A bit of surprise that one and Baghdatis will play either Murray or Nieminen in the third round. Tsonga 6-3 *1-3 RaonicTsonga's on the board in the second and he'll now look to assert himself a bit more on the Raonic serve. 12.51Just starting on 14 is the men's second-round match between Davydenko of Russia and Nishikori of Japan. The latter has an early break and is serving at 1-0. Tsonga 6-3 *0-3 RaonicThis is extremely impressive from Raonic, his serve is so strong and he holds to-love to move three ahead in the second. 12.49BREAK! Venus looks nailed on to meet Kerber in the third round as she moves 2-0 ahead in the second against Wozniak on Centre. Tsonga 6-3 0-2* RaonicBREAK! Raonic is presented with a single break point and Tsonga misfires with a forehand to hand the Canadian the early advantage in the second. 12.47I'm liking the way Raonic plays. Despite his height he likes to vary it up and is regularly chipping-and-charging to the net. He may be tall but he's not all-serve, a la Isner. 12.44Tsonga lets out a huge scream of anguish as he hands Raonic an easy volley with the chance of a backhand pass. Calm it, Jo. 12.41Shvedova and Lisicki are evenly poised at 3-3 in the second. Shved won the first, remember. Tsonga 6-3 0-0* RaonicSET! That'll do for Jo-Wilfried as he holds to-love after the pair both come to the net and Raonic's backhand volley can't get over. Impressive set from the fifth seed. Tsonga *5-3 RaonicRaonic forces Tsonga to serve it out on No. 1. Can the Frenchman blast his way to the first set? 12.36SET! Venus is romping to the third round and a match with Kerber as she wraps up the first set 6-1 in just 23 minutes. Bosh. 12.35We're quick here at Sports Mole and you can read our concise report of Kerber's victory by clicking here. 12.33GAME, SET AND MATCH! Kerber holds and advances to the third round with a comprehensive 6-1 6-1 victory in just 57 minutes. The seventh seed will take on the winner of the Venus-Wozniak game on Centre. 12.32These two aren't setting it alight as Raonic wastes another chance of a break before Tsonga double faults on his chance to take the game. 12.31DOUBLE BREAKS! Kerber and Venus have both just opened up double-break advantages. The German is now within a game of victory on 14, while Venus is 4-1 ahead in the first set against Wozniak. 12.30Non, says Tsonga. Although that was a pants return from the Canadian. 12.30Raonic has a break-back point at 30-40. Can he take it? 12.28Lisicki saves a break point in game three of the second against Shvedova before holding to move 2-1 ahead. Tsonga *4-2 RaonicThis is much better from Raonic. The Canadian produces a confident love game, finishing it off with a pair of aces. Tsonga 4-1* RaonicRaonic takes Tsonga to deuce but he can't stop the Frenchman regaining his three-game advantage. 12.25BREAK! Kerber doesn't let Babos back into it though, breaking yet again to move 3-1 ahead in the second. 12.22BREAK! Venus has started well on Centre and leads 2-0 against Wozniak. 12.21BREAK! Babos wont' let Kerber get away too easily. The Hungarian breaks back in the second set and is now serving at 1-2. 12.20This is the latest tweet from @WimboGroundsman: "So the early rain has shifted and courts are in play, very cloudy around with a chance of showers but lets stay positive, #rainraingoaway." Yes, let's stay positive. 12.18SET! Baghdatis holds serve on 18 to take the first set 6-4 against Gasquet. That would be a minor shock if the Cypriot could close it out. Tsonga 3-0* RaonicThis is ominous play from the fifth seed. He opens the game with a pair of aces before taking the game to-15, with Raonic showing a glimpse of his talent with a delicious backhand winner. 12.17Venus has just begun her match with Wozniak on Centre, updates from the main court will follow. Tsonga *2-0 RaonicBREAK! Tsonga is upping the ante and forces Raonic to miss a volley and continue his impressive start to the match. 12.16SET! Shvedova, sorry Rambo, stays strong on serve to take the first set against 15th seed Lisicki over on No. 2. 12.15BREAK! Kerber has also continued her dominance from the first set and now leads Babos 2-0 in the second. 12.15BREAK! Baghdatis is the man who's broken over on 18 and the Cypriot will now serve for the first set at 5-4 against Gasquet. 12.14Raonic is also nicknamed Avatar, apparently. Not sure I like that as much as Shvedova's 'Rambo'! 12.13Raonic, just 21, is a towering 6'5" and a kilo lighter at 90kg. 12.12Tsonga is 27 - I'm surprised at that, thought he was a little younger - and comes in at 6'2" and 91kg. 12.12Here's a little more about the two, Tsonga is nicknamed Ali because of his resemblance to the great man, who we saw at the opening ceremony on Friday. 12.10Here comes JWT, he bangs down a second serve that Raonic frames high into the Wimbledon sky. Good start for the fifth seed. 12.09Raonic won the toss and has elected to receive. A slightly strange decision as Tsonga can be a monster on serve and Raonic himself is also one of the best with ball in-hand. 12.09The umpire announces the two players and the cheer for Tsonga is far louder and longer. He's a real crowd favourite. 12.07Right then, we're now going to focus on Tsonga's match with Raonic on No. 1. I'll still keep you up-to-date with all major breaks, sets, tie-breaks and tantrums on the other courts though, don't fret. 12.05Gasquet and Baghdatis still on serve over on 18 at 4-3 to the former. 12.05Lisicki races through the next four points after the double and is now 3-4 down. 12.03Lisicki takes Shvedova to deuce but can't stop the Kazakh regaining her two-game lead. The German begins the seventh game with an ugly double too, (come on Sabine!) 12.03TRIPLE BREAK AND SET! Kerber breaks the Babos serve yet again to claim the opener 6-1. The German now also has the advantage of serving first in the second. 12.01So we're due to see Tsonga and Venus taking to the big showcourts in just a second. They've both got a Canadian task on their hands. 11.59It's all too easy for Kerber on 14 as she again holds serve to move 5-1 ahead. Babos will have to pull off a miracle job to save the first set there. 11.57Lisicki serves a gem out wide to ace her way to a second game in the opening set. Still a break down but within touch. 2-3 Rambo. 11.56Gasquet saves two break points against Baghdatis and holds to move 3-2 ahead on 18. 11.56DOUBLE BREAK! While Lisicki is struggling, fellow German Kerber is having no such trouble over on 14 and now leads 4-1 with serve against Babos. 11.54Shvedova holds to-15 to move two games ahead on No. 2. Her Olympic tennis profiles tells us that she's had the nickname Rambo, because of her headband. I like (and may use in the commentary!) 11.51BREAK! Lisicki can't stop Shvedova breaking this time as she swipes a forehand only halfway up the net. The Kazakh leads 2-1 and will serve. 11.50The Kazakh fires a backhand return wide and we're back at deuce as Kerber consolidates the break over on 14. 11.49Break point Shvedova... 11.49Just realised that I made an error earlier in saying that Gasquet broke in the opening game. He was actually serving and is now 2-1 ahead against Baghdatis, still on serve on 18. 11.48BREAK! Kerber has the early advantage on 14 as she breaks Babos and is now serving at 2-1. 11.47Shvedova, sporting some Arnaud Clement-style glasses (you know the ones), holds to-30 and we're at 1-1 on No. 2. 11.46American veteran Venus Williams opens proceedings on Centre in an all-North American encounter against another Canadian, Aleksandra Wozniak. 11.45Coming up in 15 at 12 we have the two showcourts, Centre and No. 1, starting. First up on No. 1 is the roaring Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, seeded fifth at the Games, against giant Canadian Milos Raonic. 11.44Lisicki holds her serve in the opening game on No. 2 while Kerber also holds to level her match at 1-1. 11.42BREAK! It's a blistering start from smooth-talking Frenchman Gasquet as he breaks Baghdatis's serve to-love. 11.41The other two singles matches are also underway on 18 and No. 2, Lisicki and Gasquet the two big names in action there. 11.39Today's action is underway as Babos holds serve against Kerber to take a 1-0 advantage on 14. 11.35It's not all singles that we're focused on here at Sports Mole though, no no. There's also some interesting doubles action later this afternoon from around 3pm, including the aforementioned Williams sisters, Roger Federer, the Bryan brothers and the Radwanska sisters. What a family feel! 11.32Following Murray on Centre is world number two Novak Djokovic. He faces US veteran Andy Roddick in another great second-round pick. 11.28Britain's Andy Murray continues his bid for a singles gold in the second match on Centre Court against Jarkko Nieminen of Finland. Should be an easy one for Muzza, that. 11.23Interestingly, Lisicki and Kerber are also paired together in the doubles and they face a tough second-round doubles match against two-time and defending gold medallists - the Williams sisters. That one's third up on No. 2 Court. 11.22Seventh seed Angelique Kerber is also up, the ponytailed blondie faces Timea Babos of Hungary on 14. 11.19On the women's half of the draw we've got two Germans in action at half 11. On No. 2 Court, 15th seed Sabine Lisicki, who I secretly fancy, faces Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakstan. 11.17We've got three singles matches starting in around 15 minutes. In the men's draw, France's Richard Gasquet, who once said the only reason he learnt to speak English was to talk to women (sly dog!), is up against exuberant Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis on Court 18. Should be a corker. 11.13Morning all! Really looking forward to today, as long as the rain stays away. Speaking of which, I've just checked the forecast and Wimbledon is due for a truly dull, grey day. That doesn't bother us though as it should mean no interruptions!
