Novak Djokovic dropped just one game against Albert Montanes on his way to booking his place in the third round of the Monte Carlo Masters this afternoon.
Playing in his adopted hometown tournament, the world number two proved to be too strong for his Spanish opponent, who was able to only get a solo game on the board during the first set.
The Serbian was even more emphatic in the second set as he broke on three occasions to wrap up the match in 45 minutes.
Defending champion Djokovic will now take on either Pablo Carreno Busta, Kevin Anderson or Gael Monfils in the next round.
