Gael Monfils has recorded a straight-sets victory over Jiri Vesely to reach the last eight of the Monte Carlo Masters.
The Frenchman saw off the 22-year-old 6-1 6-2 in just 68 minutes to book his place in a third straight ATP World Tour Masters 1000 quarter-final.
Vesely's defeat at the last-16 stage comes just one day after the biggest win of his career, a 6-4 2-6 6-4 victory over world number one Novak Djokovic.
Monfils will take on Marcel Granollers for a place in the semi-finals.
