Tommy Robredo has battled into the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters with a three-set victory over Andreas Seppi.
The Spanish veteran came through the opening set 6-3, but Seppi fought back emphatically after that by blitzing through the second 6-1 to level the contest.
World number 38 Seppi moved into a 4-2 lead in the decider, only for Robredo to win the next four games to seal a 6-3 1-6 6-4 triumph.
Waiting for the world number 20 in the next round will be either Marcel Granollers or Adrian Mannarino.
