Tommy Robredo fought back from a set down and lost just one game in the second and third set in his second-round Monte Carlo Masters match against Julien Benneteau this afternoon.
The 11th seed lost the first set after being broken at 4-4 and then failing to convert on three break-back points as Frenchman Benneteau squeezed into the lead.
From then on it was one-way traffic as Robredo won 12 straight points at the start of the second set before taking it 6-0 in just 22 minutes.
Benneteau had three break points at the start of the third set but couldn't take them and soon Robredo was into round three thanks to a 6-1 success in the decider.
The Spaniard will next face either eighth seed Milos Raonic or Lu Yen-Hsun.
