Andy Murray will this afternoon decide whether his injured wrist will prevent him from competing in the Barcelona Open.
The world number four first noticed the injury in his quarter-final clash with Frederico Gil. With the aid of an injection he went on to the next round to face Rafael Nedal, who went on to win the tournament.
"I've seen the doctor here and been getting a lot of treatment from my physio the last few days, and I don't think it's anything serious," he told BBC Sport.
"Whether or not I'll be able to play this week, I'm not sure. I haven't hit any balls since Monte Carlo but I'm going to practise [on Tuesday] in the morning and see how it is, and then I'll make a decision after that."
Upcoming fixtures on Murray’s calendar that will weigh on his decision include Master Series tournaments in Rome and Madrid followed by the French Open in May.
Should the Scot go ahead to play this week’s competition, he will first face either Juan Carlos Ferrero or Xavier Malisse in the second round, enjoying a bye in the first.
