Tim Henman does not expect Andy Murray to win another Grand Slam

Andy Murray's injury woes will prevent him from winning another Grand Slam before he retires from tennis, according to Tim Henman.

Tim Henman has claimed that winning another Grand Slam title may be "a step too far" for Andy Murray.

The two-time Wimbledon champion achieved his last of three Grand Slam titles on home soil in 2016 and has been bedevilled by injuries over the past few years.

Murray could only achieve a third-round finish at Wimbledon this year before crashing out of the US Open in the first round, and Henman does not expect the Brit to add a fourth Grand Slam to his trophy cabinet before his career ends.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Henman said: "In my opinion, for him to win best of five set matches, seven times, over a fortnight with a metal hip is a step too far. I say that also knowing that he loves to prove people wrong and I'd be delighted if he proved me wrong.

"Can he win on tour? Yeah I think he can. You look at the way he has played recently and you look at the way he's played since Queen's when he's been back on the match court, I think he's shown a lot of improvement.

"His game is definitely trending in the right direction and if he can stay injury free without any other niggles or setbacks, I think his game is going to get better and better."

Murray is set to face France's Adrian Mannarino in his first match of the Indian Wells Masters on Thursday. body check tags ::
