Rafael Nadal has admitted that he is "very happy" after winning the Barcelona Open for the eighth time of his career.
Nadal beat fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro 6-4 6-3 after finding himself 3-0 down in the first set.
"I'm very happy," Nadal told Spanish television. "It's been an important week for all the Spanish players here, especially me.
"It's an enormous honour for me to win here again. Nico started really strongly and it was difficult at the start but luckily I was able to the very important break at 3-0 down."
The win was Nadal's 10th in a row against Almagro.
