David Nalbandian this afternoon announced his retirement from tennis.
The Argentinian, who reached the Wimbledon final in 2002, revealed the decision at a press conference.
Nalbandian's highest world ranking was third in March 2006. He also won the end-of-season Masters Cup in 2005 as well as two Masters 1000 events in Madrid and Paris in 2007.
The 31-year-old's last match will be an exhibition against Rafael Nadal on November 23.
