Great Britain's Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter have discovered who they will face in the first round of the Miami Open following Sunday's women's draw.

The duo have travelled across the United States to Florida following short-lived runs at the Indian Wells Open in California, where Raducanu lost in the first round to Moyuka Uchijima.

Meanwhile, Boulter received a bye into the second round, where she overcame Romania's Irina-Camelia Begu before being slain by Elena Rybakina in the last 32.

Boulter was seeded 25th for the BNP Paribas Open and therefore skipped the first round, but the British number one has now slipped to world number 38 and is therefore among the unseeded players for the Miami Open.

As a result, Boulter will begin her bid for WTA 1000 glory in the first round, where she will face American home favourite Peyton Stearns for the third time at the top level and will endeavour to avenge two previous losses to the 23-year-old.

Stearns and Boulter faced off twice in 2023, where the American won a three-set thriller in Austin before knocking the Brit out of the US Open third round with a straight-sets victory.

Raducanu faces Japanese wild card in first round

The winner of the first-round tie between Boulter and Stearns will take on 27th seed Elise Mertens, which could precede a third-round battle against world number two Iga Swiatek.

On the same side of the draw, Raducanu seeks her first win in over a month when she faces Japanese wild card Sayaka Ishii - ranked 206th in the world - in her first-round match.

Nineteen-year-old Ishii impressed at last year's Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, reaching the quarter-finals of that WTA 500 tournament, and she made it to the second round of Australian Open qualifying this year.

Eighth seed Emma Navarro will be awaiting the winner of that battle, and if Raducanu can make it all the way to the fourth round, she could be facing newly-crowned Indian Wells champion Mirra Andreeva.

Elsewhere, two former Grand Slam winners in Sofia Kenin and Petra Kvitova go head-to-head in the pick of the first-round ties, and the winner faces a tantalising battle with Coco Gauff in the second round.

The draw for the Miami Open men's singles tournament is due to be held at 1pm local time - 5pm UK time - on Monday.
