Fourteen-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has earned a place in the third round of the Paris Masters with a 6-2 6-2 victory over Lukas Rosol.
Nadal, who survived a scare against Rosol in the Swiss Indoors tournament last week, dominated the clash in the early stages.
On his fourth break point, the Spaniard was able to snatch Rosol's serve before easing to a second break later in the set to grab the lead in France.
After putting just two games on the board in the first set, Rosol, who defeated Nadal in the second round of Wimbledon in 2012, found himself 3-1 down after losing serve in the second.
The 30-year-old managed to hold his next service game, but it was a relatively comfortable win for Nadal in the end.
