Grigor Dimitrov has booked his place in the second round at Queen's with a three-set win over Sam Querrey.
The defending champion had looked on course for an early exit after falling a set and a break behind to the 2010 winner, but he held his nerve to emerge victorious by a 4-6 6-3 6-4 scoreline.
The pair had shared the opening two sets on Monday before bad light forced the players off for the day, and upon their return, neither player gave an inch as they dominated on serve.
In the fifth game, Dimitrov created two break points, only to see Querrey serve his way out of trouble, but four games later, the Bulgarian struck to earn a chance to serve for the match.
He did that with ease with a hold to love to secure a second-round match with either Gilles Muller or Mikhail Youzhny.
