Kevin Anderson has clinched a place in the third round of the Miami Masters with a 6-4 6-3 win over Horacio Zeballos.
While Zeballos was able to maintain his service games in the early stages of the opening set, he failed to create a break opportunity.
However, Anderson, who scored seven aces, had enough strength on the court to pick up a break point and push on to take the lead in the US.
It was a break of serve that kept Anderson in control of the match in the second set, despite Zeballos coming close to creating his own opportunity.
Despite Zeballos having a relatively strong service game, it was the 17th seed who was able to keep his composure and march on in the tournament.
