Wildcard entry Pablo Andujar has continued his run at the Madrid Open with a straight-sets win in the quarter-finals over 14th seed Kei Nishikori.
The 27-year-old, who is ranked 113th in the world, will now face fellow Spaniard and two-time champion Rafael Nadal for a place in the final.
Andujar broke to take a 5-3 lead in the opening set before saving seven break points to eventually claim it 6-3.
He then failed to serve out the match at 5-3 in the second but broke for a second time in the set to seal the victory 7-5.
