Tomas Berdych has booked his place in the final at the China Open after beating Martin Klizan in straight sets this afternoon.
The Slovakian, who knocked Rafael Nadal out in his previous match, put the Czech under pressure in the first set, forcing Berdych to save an early break point in the semi-final.
However, Berdych kept his focus to edge ahead later in the set, before serving out to take the opener 6-4.
Klizan was unable to maintain his intensity in the second set, giving Berdych a break off his opening service game before the Czech quickly wrapped up the set 6-1.
Berdych will face world number one Novak Djokovic in the final tomorrow after the Serbian beat Andy Murray in the other last four match.
