Marin Cilic is through to the quarter-finals of the Rotterdam Open after defeating number five seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets.
The 25-year-old looked in excellent form throughout the match and set his stall out early with some powerful strokes to match the Frenchman. He earned a crucial break on his way to taking the first set 6-4.
Cilic continued to have success in the second set as he carved out three break opportunities. Although Tsonga was able to save two of them he couldn't stop the Croat the third time, as he claimed the set 6-4 to win the match.
