Novak Djokovic has eased into the last 16 of the Miami Masters after a 6-0 7-5 victory over Steve Darcis.
Djokovic hammered Darcis in the opening set, allowing just three points against his serve. The only drawback to his performance was his conversion of just three out of eight break points.
Darcis, ranked 84th in the world, improved dramatically in the second set, saving three break points in game four and holding serve in a nine-minute long game six. The Belgian found himself serving for the set after breaking Djokovic in game nine but the world number one broke straight back to level the score.
Djokovic finally finished the match, breaking Darcis's serve in another nine-minute game to win the second set 7-5.
The Serbian will play Alexandr Dolgopolov in the next round.
