Dan Evans has secured a place in the main draw at this week's Challenger event in Loughborough.
The British player is currently attempting to make his way back up the world rankings after serving a drugs ban, and the 27-year-old currently sits at 1194th in the standings.
However, Monday's 6-4 7-6 victory over Germany's Tobias Simon means that the Birmingham-based player will make further inroads when the listings are updated next Monday.
Evans has been given a tough draw in the opening round, with Austrian Max Purcell - the second seed - standing in his way either on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Last month, Evans came through qualifying in a second-tier event in Glasgow before losing in the last 32.
