Petra Kvitova has ensured her place in the third round of the French Open with a 6-4 6-4 victory over Marina Erakovic.
It was a strong start for Kvitova as she grabbed a break of serve at the first time of asking, leaving her opponent on the back foot immediately. As it turned out, the one break was all that Kvitova needed to take a comfortable one-set lead in Paris.
At the start of the second set, Kvitova once again nabbed an early break, but Erakovic responded instantly with a break of her own to remain in contention.
Another break gave Erakovic a 3-1 lead in the second set, but Kvotiva bounced back to take a further two break points to win the match.
