Sabine Lisicki has ended Ana Ivanovic's Miami Masters campaign with a 7-6[4] 7-5 victory in the third round.
Both players lost serve twice in a highly-competitive first set, which meant that a tie-break was needed to separate the two stars.
Lisicki managed to edge it 7-4, but she struggled to take a strong hold of the clash as she dropped serve in her opening game of the second set.
The German responded immediately with a break of her own, but Ivanovic mirrored her opponents efforts by going another break up.
At 3-1 down, Lisicki was able to get her momentum back with a further two breaks, which were enough to seal the set and the win.
The 25-year-old will face Sara Errani in the fourth round.
