Joshua Milton has continued his recent impressive form with a three-set victory over Adrian Menendez-Maceiras at the Ilkley Challenger.
The British number eight, who has reached the quarter-finals at events in Manchester and Surbiton, looked to be heading for an early exit after losing the opening set to the sixth seed, who sits 189 places above him in the world rankings.
However, after edging the second on a tie-break, Milton established a lead in the third before eventually coming through by a 1-6 7-6 6-4 scoreline.
British number six Liam Broady bowed out of the tournament, though, after losing 6-4 6-4 to top seed Malek Jaziri.
World number 384 Marcus Willis also suffered a first-round defeat to Grega Zemlja, losing 7-6 6-4 to the Slovenian despite recording 19 aces.
