Andy Murray has reached the quarter-finals of the Dubai Championships after defeating Marco Chiudinelli 6-3 6-4.
The British number one cruised through his opening game and continued to remain composed while his Swiss opponent tried to make an impact in the early stages of the match.
The Scotsman remained in control and managed to take the first set after half an hour of play.
Murray and Chiudinelli were even in the second set with games going by the way of serve until the Scotsman found the break to clinch the set and take the match.
The 24-year-old will face either Tomas Berdych or Lukas Lacko in the quarter-finals.
