Rafael Nadal produced a dominant display to book his spot in the quarter-finals of the Miami Masters by beating Fabio Fognini 6-2 6-2.
The Spaniard quickly settled into a good rhythm in the fourth-round clash, with Fognini looking helpless at the other end of the court as his rival stormed into a 3-0 lead with two breaks of serve.
Despite finally managing to hold his own serve to make it 4-1, the Italian was unable to cause problems for Nadal, who eased to a 6-2 success in the opener.
Any possibility of a comeback at the start of the second set were quickly dashed as Nadal broke Fognini's serve in the first game.
The world number one, who was never asked to save a break point in the match, secured one more break of serve before cruising to the finish line in style with another 6-2 triumph.
