Tsvetana Pironkova has shocked second seed Petra Kvitova to reach the final of the Sydney International.
The 26-year-old Bulgarian qualifier will face the winner of the other semi-final between Angelique Kerber and Madison Keys.
She broke twice on her way to taking the first set 6-4, before clinching the second set 6-3 to wrap up victory in one hour and 21 minutes.
Pironkova, who reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon in 2010, has never won a WTA event.
