Milos Raonic has booked his place in the fourth round of the Miami Open by beating Jeremy Chardy 6-1 5-7 7-6(3) this evening.
It was the Canadian who broke his opponent twice early on as he romped to a comfortable win in the first set in just 25 minutes.
However, Chardy battled hard in the second set and with Raonic serving for the match, he managed to level the scores at 5-5, before breaking his opponent once again to win 7-5 and level the tie.
In the deciding set both players held their serves to set up a tie-break and it was Raonic who held his nerve to win 7-3 to set up a clash against the winner of Grigor Dimitrov and John Isner's third-round tie.
