Nicolas Almagro has progressed to the third round of the Miami Masters with a straight-sets victory over Sam Querrey.
The 28-year-old got the better of his American opponent 6-4 6-4 in their second-round tie in just over an hour.
Almagro was in control of the contest right from the start, hitting nine aces to Querrey's five and winning 69% of his first service points in the first set.
The Spaniard continued to dominate proceedings in the second, winning 74% of his total service points and 84% of his first service points on course to a comfortable victory.
