Pablo Cuevas has knocked Jarkko Nieminen out of the BNP Paribas Open second round after coming from behind to win in three sets.
The Finn, currently ranked 70th in the world, won an edgy first set which saw seven breaks of serve by a 6-4 scoreline.
However, his Uruguayan opponent bounced back with an improved first-service percentage and three breaks of serve on his way to winning the second set 7-5.
Cuevas, ranked 23 in the ATP listings, then went through the gears and had plenty of success winning points on his first serve.
He went on to take the decisive third set 6-0 and set up a clash with the winner of Feliciano Lopez and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
