Serena Williams made short work of world number one Victoria Azarenka in the final of the Madrid Open this afternoon.
It took the American, ranked number six in the world, a little over an hour to dispatch her Belarusian opponent.
Williams's blistering groundstrokes were too much to handle for Azarenka, who could do little to stop her counterpart, who romped to a 6-1 6-3 victory.
The 30-year-old has now won seven out of her eight meetings with Australian Open champion Azarenka.
