Stanislas Wawrinka has progressed into the final of the Madrid Open with a three-set triumph over Tomas Berdych.
The Swiss 15th seed will now face two-time champion Rafael Nadal in Sunday's final following the Spaniard's victory over fellow countryman Pablo Andujar.
Wawrinka took the opening set 6-3 before Berdych, who is seeded sixth, came back to level the match 6-4 in the second.
Despite going 2-4 down in the second, Wawrinka rallied impressively as he broke twice to close out the match 6-4 in just under two hours.
