Serena Williams is one match away from lifting the Miami Masters title after securing a 6-4 6-3 victory over Maria Sharapova in the semi-final.
Games went by the way of serve between the two competitors in the first set, and Williams showed her trademark power by hitting five aces.
Both players suffered a break of serve, but it was William's two break points that put her on top and pushed her to a one-set lead.
Sharapova fought back in the second set by nabbing a break at the first time of asking, but her advantage did not last long as Williams broke back.
Despite showing some impressive movement on the court, the Russian former world number one was unable to get past her US opponent as Williams broke serve again and wrapped up the match.
