The ATP has fined Nick Kyrgios for a comment that he made to Stanislas Wawrinka during a match at the Rogers Cup in Montreal.
Kyrgios caused widespread outrage last night when he was caught on camera telling Wawrinka that fellow tennis player Thanasi Kokkinakis had slept with the Swiss's girlfriend.
Wawrinka, who lost his match to the Australian after retiring through injury, is understood to be in a relationship with women's world number 127 Donna Vekic.
"The ATP has announced that Nick Kyrgios has been fined for an insulting remark made to Stanislas Wawrinka during his second round match against Wawrinka at the Rogers Cup in Canada," read an official statement.
Wawrinka hit out at Kyrgios after the match, claiming that his opponent's behaviour was "disappointing" and "disrespectful".
