World number one Novak Djokovic is through the final of the Rogers Cup thanks to a straight-sets win over Jeremy Chardy.
The Frenchman looked nervous early on as a string of unforced errors gifted Djokovic a break of serve in the opening game.
The Wimbledon champiom controlled the opening set from there, and comfortably served it out to win 6-4.
In the second set, Chardy showed more resilience as he held off Djokovic's early onslaught with a flurry of powerful ground strokes.
Howver, Djokovic earned a crucial break to move 4-3 ahead, and he held on to win 6-4 6-4.
He will now face Andy Murray in the final.
