Richard Gasquet was forced to come from behind to defeat tough American Mardy Fish in an entertaining Rogers Cup quarter-final match.
An evenly-contested opening set saw Fish come out on top after the players shared five breaks of serve.
Fish saved two break points late on to take the first set 7-5.
Gasquet produced a spirited comeback to dominate the second set, winning 6-1 to level the match.
The Frenchman had too much for Fish in the deciding set, maintaining his composure to win the match 5-6 6-1 6-2.
Gasquet will play either Milos Raonic or John Isner in an open semi-final draw.
