Simona Halep has booked her place in the semi-finals of the Rogers Cup, courtesy of a three-sets win over Agnieszka Radwanska.
The world number three was made to work hard, however, battling back from a set down to prevail 0-6 6-3 6-1 in Toronto.
Three losses of serve in the opener saw the 23-year-old get things off to the worst possible start, as Radwanska held to quickly race ahead.
Halep soon hit back, though, earning three breaks of her own in the second - including in the all-important ninth game which saw her initially throw away two set points.
There was to be no such struggles in the final set, with the Romanian holding well to claim a more convincing success to see out the contest and progress through.
