Seventh seed Caroline Wozniacki is safely through to the third round of the Rogers Cup in Montreal courtesy of a straight-sets triumph over Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands.
In an unpredictable first set, the Dane cancelled out two dropped service games with three breaks of her own to win it 7-5.
There was less trouble for Wozniacki in the second as she raced into a 5-0 lead before seeing off her Dutch opponent 6-1.
American Varvara Lepchenko now waits for the former world number one in the next round.
