Andy Murray has admitted that he did a "decent job" to beat Alexandr Dolgopolov in the third round of the Shanghai Masters.
The US Open winner brushed aside the Ukrainian world number 19 6-2 6-2 in just under an hour on Thursday to book his place in the quarter-finals.
"I think I did a decent job," said the Brit. "It's very, very different conditions to last week (at the Japan Open). I just tried to stay solid and not go for the lines too much early on."
Murray will now face Radek Stepanek in the last eight after the Czech defeated eighth seed John Isner 6-4 6-7 6-3.
