Novak Djokovic has progressed into the third round of the Shanghai Masters after defeating Martin Klizan in straight sets.
The world number one spent just over an hour on court as he beat his Slovakian opponent 6-2 6-1.
Djokovic made a fast start to the opening set, breaking in Klizan's first two service games as he went 4-0 ahead. The world number 44 responded with a break of his own in the fifth, but Djokovic soon recovered his touch with another break to take the set.
The second set was a straightforward affair for Djokovic, as the Serbian broke Klizan twice again on his way to opening up a 5-0 lead. Klizan held to get his first game of the set on the board, but another hold from Djokovic in the next game saw him take the set and with it the match.
Djokovic will face either Dominic Thiem or Feliciano Lopez in the next round.
