Tommy Haas has knocked out number six seed Janko Tipsarevic by clinching a 6-2 6-1 win over the Serbian in the third round of the Shanghai Masters.
The German snatched the first break point of the clash, which gave him a boost to take control of the court and commit some swift forehands and strong returns to grab another break and go on to win the opening set.
Tipsarevic tried to get back into the contest but Haas crushed the Serbian's attempts by breaking him at the first time of asking in the second set.
Haas managed to maintain his dominance and clinch the winning point in just over an hour to progress into the quarter-finals.
