Stanislas Wawrinka has progressed to the last eight of the Shanghai Masters with a straight-sets victory over Milos Raonic.
The Swiss player came through 7-6 6-4 to book his place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
There was little to separate the two players in the opening set as both gave little away off their own service games.
The set went to a tie-break where some excellent returns from Wawrinka gave him a four-point advantage, before he claimed it 7-2.
Raonic recovered at the beginning of the second set, taking his first service game to love. However, it was Wawrinka who made the crucial breakthrough with the score at 3-3, when he broke the Raonic serve for the first time in the match.
The world number eight maintained his lead before serving the match out to love.
