The Spanish duo of David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez have reached the last four of the men's Olympic doubles after defeating the Croatian pair of Marin Cilic and Ivan Dodig this afternoon.
Ferrer and Lopez broke the Croatians' serve in the opening game of the match and that proved enough to take the first set as nine further holds resulted in a 6-4 success for the Spanish.
The second set was almost a carbon copy, as this time the Spaniards broke at the second time of asking before marching to another 6-4 set.
They will now take on the winners of the last semi-final between Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares of Brazil and France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Michael Llodra.
