Wimbledon champion Serena Williams advanced through to round three of the Olympic Games in London with a 6-2 6-3 win over Poland's Urszula Radwanska this afternoon.
American Williams began the encounter at SW19 brightly and made the most of her domination by claiming two breaks of the Radwanska serve.
She also showed good form during her own services games to win the set 6-2.
It was a similar story in the next set, with Williams taking control of proceedings early on.
Radwanska did provide more resistance on this occasion, but she was unable to stop Williams serving out for a 6-3 score to win the match in one hour and 14 minutes.
