World number 14 Kevin Anderson has revealed that it would mean a lot if he were to progress beyond the fourth round at the US Open.
The South African faces Andy Murray in the last 16 on Tuesday, having made it to the fourth round of all four Grand Slams without yet managing to make it into the quarter-finals.
"Obviously [progressing] would mean a lot. I've been in the fourth round a few times but it's my first time here and it's obviously a small step in the right direction," Anderson said ahead of the clash, according to BBC Sport.
Anderson goes into his contest with Murray off the back of an impressive win over Dominic Thiem, where he put 17 aces past his opponent.
