Victoria Azarenka has admitted that she will have to adopt a different playing style if she is to beat Serena Williams in the US Open final on Saturday night.
The world number one, who defeated Maria Sharapova in Friday's semi-final, has lost nine of her last ten meetings with the in-form American.
"I always go to win a match and do the best I can. The result will depend on how I play and how my opponent plays," she told reporters.
"I've got to do something different as the other times did not work for me.
"I have to make sure I'm the one who dictates the play and controls the match as much as possible."
Azarenka is looking to win the second Grand Slam of her career following her triumph at the Australian Open in January.
