Novak Djokovic has admitted that he received no free points off Roberto Bautista Agut during their last-16 clash at the US Open.
The world number one was taken four sets by the 23rd seed at Flushing Meadows, and the 2011 champion has acknowledged that he had been involved in a "great match" against an opponent who was equalling his best performance in New York.
The 28-year-old told reporters: "He fought and hung in there. It was a great match.
"I had a couple of points to break for 5-2 in the second set but I didn't capitalise and the match turned around. He made me work for it there were no free points."
Djokovic will face big-serving Spaniard Feliciano Lopez in the quarter-finals.
