Novak Djokovic has said that he is honoured to have been mentioned alongside "legends" of tennis, following his US Open triumph.
The Serbian beat Roger Federer 6-4 5-7 6-4 6-4 to win the 10th Grand Slam of his career.
"We've reached double digits now and I'm flattered and honoured to be a part of an elite group of players, legends of our sport who have won this many Grand Slam trophies in their careers," Djokovic told reporters.
"Even to be mentioned alongside them is truly something special. I'm 28 and I have always valued the care of my body and my mind and had this holistic approach to life.
"I always thought this was of utmost importance to my tennis and I will continue on with the same kind of lifestyle and approach because it brought me where I am today."
Djokovic is now the seventh most decorated tennis player of all time, with Roger Federer holding a record 17 Grand Slam titles.
