Dan Evans has declared that his performance at the US Open proves that he is ready to compete with top-class players.
The British number three reached the third round of the tournament against the odds before crashing out to Spanish 19th seed Tommy Robredo.
"I can definitely play with these guys," the 23-year-old told BBC Sport.
"To win two matches [in New York] and then have that match shows I'm not a Futures player. I'm probably better than a Challenger player as well."
Evans will feature in Great Britain Davis Cup team alongside Andy Murray in Croatia on September 13.
